Come enjoy Spookley’s special pumpkin patch! This exciting field trip will follow the story of Spookley the Square Pumpkin. Students will get to learn and play through the story of Spookley, which correlates to national bullying prevention month, during October as well. At the end, each student will get to carefully select their very own special pumpkin to bring home.
Students will explore the rows of apple trees here at Fergusons Orchard. This field trip will take a wagon ride out into the orchard where the students will learn about characteristics of apple trees and fun apple facts. We will also discover the most common varieties of apples grown here. Each student will get to pick their very own apple as well as an activity book to bring home. This trip is best suited for kindergarten-3rd grade.
This is ideal for first grade through 5th grade students.
This science-related field trip will explore the history of the mining industry in Wisconsin, as well as what kind of gems and minerals we can find in our state. Students will be instructed on the basics of gem and mineral identification. Each student will get a gem mining bag that they will get to sift and explore to uncover what is inside.
This trip is specifically curated for special education students.
For our very important farmers, we will enjoy the day helping with farm chores and take a stroll through the apple trees. Each student will get to pick out their very own apple and teachers can choose either a plant or activity book to take home.
Come enjoy the fresh air at the apple orchard. A brief overview will be given of what we do here at Fergusons Orchards and their history. At the end, visitors will be able to enjoy a fresh donut and a cup of coffee or apple cider.
